Hello design clients and friends!
It is a big week for me and Stephanie Wiesel Interiors as it marks the launch of both my website and blog! It is all so exciting, and I can’t wait to share my passion for design with all of you! Through this blog I hope to provide an entertaining and educational look into the work of design which will be relevant for anyone from weekend decorating warrior to fellow interior design colleagues. I plan to blog about everything from design trends, to unique items I come across in my daily work, to helpful tips as you embark upon your own design adventure.

A little bit about my design taste. Over time I have developed a sense of style through my experience in both traditional and modern interiors. My style is comfortable and easy. Natural textured fabrics such as linen and chunky wool are my favorite to work with. I want a home to feel inviting and light. I like a lot of windows and natural sunlight. My favorite design magazines are Elle Decor, Traditional Home, House Beautiful and Coastal Living, and I love flipping through them for design ideas and to help bring concepts to life for my clients! I am inspired by coastal environments and the outdoors. I love to bring the outdoors inside using natural rugs, greenery, and rustic accessories. My favorite paint colors are greys, whites, tans, subtle blues. Weathered wood and exposed wood beams are fantastic. I like using Polished Nickel and Natural Iron hardware and light fixtures. French furniture and style is another is a huge inspiration for me. I absolutely love interior barn doors. My upholstery style is very tailored yet livable. Slipcovers work in almost every room. I like symmetry in furniture layouts. I am a firm believer in using durable indoor/outdoor fabrics or stain treatments to make a great looking furniture practical for a family living with pets and children. White cabinets are my favorite look for a kitchen. Pillows are my favorite accessory to bring bright colors into a room, and the list goes on. See below for few pictures to bring to life the kinds of design aesthetics I love.
Thanks for tuning into my first post and for checking out my website. Hope you come back and visit often!
Cheers,
Stephanie
